It seems since we arrived here the kids have been the ones with the worries about tests and learning a ton of new stuff for school. Well, now it is mom and dad's turn.
We take our written driving test tomorrow. No worries you might be thinking. We wouldn't worry so much if there weren't so many people we know that have stated they didn't pass it after 3 or 4 tries. We have been studying and studying a 500 page book full of UK driving rules. We were under the impression that all we had to do this year was pass the written portion and hazard perception test and we would have 2 years to take the driving portion. We were ill informed and have now learned that we have to take the driving portion as well and have to pass it before 12/28/2013 or we won't be able to drive over here.
It is October...should be plenty of time eh...well...you can't just go into the DMV and take a test - you have to pay $50 and book it about 3 weeks in advance so it is likely if we don't pass tomorrow, we will have to wait 2 to 3 weeks to take again then repeat the process for the driving portion. We are hopeful that we do well tomorrow and get one phase of this down.
