We took a bit of a day trip today and have seen quite a bit. We started off with a stop off about an hour from our house in Chesterfield in the county of Derbyshire. We weren't sure we would find it, but had information from a relative that the Caldwell family (formerly Cole) once lived in something called Barlborough Castle. Well...thanks to a trusty GPS and the Land Rover taking us along some back roads we found it. It appears to be a private school these days still in operation.

Just think you might have been walking on the same ground as your long gone ancestors walked. I love this kind of stuff. Who knew that many many years later that some of the Cole family would be there and see it.
