Day Trip to Whitby on the Eastern Coast

We took our first day trip over to the east coast today to visit Whitby.  A lovely little seaside village home of Captain Cook and inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula.  It is only about 1.5 hours from our home and we got to see some other nice scenery along the way.

  1. Wow, these pictures are beautiful. The ruins of that abbey are just beautiful. Looks like you guys had a fun, cold day (mostly fun).

Loved the pictures of the kiddos. LOVED that picture of chloe with her mane of hair flowing crazy (girl...get a hair net). Kidding, you looked beautiful.

    Glad you guys had fun!

    Love you,

  2. Oh my gosh, the colors are amazing and what a trip.....It must be spring according to the daffodils but with all the coats and hats I bet it didn't feel like it. Are those lobster pots with all the bright colors?

What an awesome spot. The Abbey is really beautiful. I imagine it feels almost as if this is all a dream all the neat places you get to go and see. Just an hour and half from your home.

The kids are growing so much. It is hard to imagine.

    Great fun.

    Love you all,

    Grma and Grnpa
