It seems lately that the local authorities have been trying to gather information about how often people travel down certain roads, thoughts on road conditions etc. and decided the best way to gather this information is to ask people on those roads. There have been Census points popping up all over our town creating a bit of a traffic backup. The other morning we pulled out of our driveway to find one stationed right in front of our house. We have yet to be stopped at one - sometimes they just wave you through - but we are ready for our turn when it comes : )
You never know what will pop up at the end of your drive. Huh A unique way of checking the census I guess. Over here they put a strip across the road with a counter. I like this way better more personal, unless they stop you going and coming.
