CHLOE SELFIES

The best way to get a good picture of Chloe these days is to grab a few selfies from her camera.

Beautiful girl we have on our hands.

TENNIS STAR

Sadie started taking tennis lessons this past weekend and is enjoying it so far. Maybe she will be a tennis star like her Great Grandfather.

FRIENDS FOR LIFE

A couple of weeks ago we had some friends Jennifer and Shawn visit us rom Dallas.  Kelly and Jennifer were friends since high school and we all met in college when we were all dating.  We ended up being in each other's wedding and both living in Kansas City after we got married- beginning our married lives together.   It was great to spend a few days with them here in England - we hadn't seen each other in a number of years but it is so great to see how good friends allow you to pick right back up where you left off.

HAREWOOD HOUSE CONT

The family joined some friends the Alvarez family at Harewood House to tour and play a little dress up.

ARTY STUFF

Dawson brought home the aboriginal art project he created last year.  We were quite impressed with the detail he put into this project.

MATE 2

A couple  more shots of our MATE last Monda.

Nothing beats fish and chips eaten outside on a sunny day
 Prawn wrap for Kel

BATE

I am a little behind on our blog updates so will try to catch up this morning when I am awake and the rest of the family is asleep.

Here are a couple from our most recent BATES.  Last week all of the kids decided to join the BATE - much to Sadie's initial dismay - but she got over it.  I wonder who will want to go this morning?

MATE

When Sadie and I go to the Bakery on Saturday we call it a Bakery Date  or BATE for short.

I took some much needed time off today and had a MATE (Monday Date) with my best mate of nearly 23 years.  We ventured out to Fountains Abbey - a beautiful area and gardens we hadn't visited before.  We took a leisurely drive back into Knaresborough the town where we live and Kel had a nice wrap from our favorite sandwich shop and I enjoyed some fresh fish and chips - eaten outside  - the best way to eat them!

We sat on the hill overlooking the lovely River Nidd in Knaresborough and then made our way down to the river for a stroll on what turned out to be a beautiful day. MATEs are better than work anyday!

Picked up kids and had to treat them to an ice cream since it was parked right beside our car.
