DAY 1 TOUR DE FRANCE

We ventured out to the heart of Harrogate to join the festivities of the Tour finishing in Harrogate.  It was very crowded but it was a great atmosphere.   We were right at the end of the race, but it was difficult to see.  We plan to get a better view tomorrow from the road as it rolls through our city.

Some pics from today.

LE TOUR BEGINS

Tune in starting today for the Tour De France. It starts in Leeds about 15 miles from our house and finishes in our city of Harrogate.  It will also come through the village we live in named Knaresborough tomorrow.

We look forward to seeing the finish line today and the race again tomorrow.

SADIE PLAY

Sadie wrapped up her school year with a play called "ZOOM" her class has been working on.  She had the part of a squirrel.

SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER

Thursday wrapped up the last day of school for the kids.  They are enjoying a well deserved rest over the summer.

BACK HOME

I am happy to be back at home after a week and a half trip to Japan and Australia.   I'm still trying to get back on UK time which is 9 hours behind that of Australia.  I was able to spend a bit of time in Sydney over the weekend and was able to take in some of the sights of that great city.  A highlight was walking on the Sydney Harbor Bridge.  It was a cold and windy night with 45mph + winds, but I felt plenty safe.  Enjoy some pics of the trip.
