Day 2 took us to the National Gallery and the Churchill Bunker. The taxi driver left us at what we thought was the entrance to the National Art Gallery..so we went in...enjoyed 3 floors of portraits wondering where the other paintings were. We then found out we were in the National Portrait Gallery not the Art Gallery so we had to go find it around the corner.
Monet's Water Lilies
Below was my favorite painting : )
We left the gallery for lunch at Picadilly Circus and te kids visit the M&Ms store
We left for the Churchill War Rooms next - an underground bunker area that Churchill and the UK military advisors plotted activities during the war.

That was awesome! Loved the pic of Dawson and Sadie hanging together. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome exhibit. It is so nice that a lot of the history there has been preserved. If not for those kind of things people might soon forget a lot of the history. I bet it would have been great to go through. Dave I can't believe that you didn't enjoy the paintings.
