INFLATED

A local store has a 4' section devoted to food from America.  Yummy stuff but it is clearly at a premium.  The current US Dollar to Pound conversion is $1.51....which means if we see something for 1 pound here in the UK, it equates to $1.51 US.  So....if you like pop tarts...they are 3.50 UK pounds....that equates to $5.30 US.

Like M&Ms...they are 1.50 UK pounds or $2.27 per bag

Want a box with 2 twinkies in it?  That will set you back 2 UK pounds or $3.03 for 2 twinkies.

  1. Ouch! You had better enjoy those twinkles for that price. Interesting as last night I went to marshals and they had British tea biscuits that were crazy expensive. I bought some but it hurt :).

    Love you

  2. That is so unreal. Things costs a lot here but nothing compared to there. I bought a huge bag of the pretzels filled with peanut butter here before Christmas and I paid very little. There you would have to really ration them out to make them worth their while.
