Chloe has been spending a lot of time here lately studying for her GCSE exams that are taken at the end of this year (equivalent of Year 10 in the US). In the UK - a person's GCSE scores are as important as their high school GPA in the US, but actually more important. When I interview people who are well into their adulthood, they still provide their GCSE scores on their resume.
Chloe will end up taking exams (couple hours each) for each of her subjects-Chemistry, Physics, English, History, Business Studies, Computer Technology, Math, etc. They go through a round of mock exams starting next week which are the same thing as the real exams, but they don't count as much.
This was the view from the backyard tonight as Chloe was continuing to revise (that is what they call studying over here) for her exams.
